Peking was a pleasant surprise! I tried go a couple times but they was take out only. I finally got a chance to dine in. General tso chicken could be spicier but given the area I understand. Seafood basket was amazing lots of seafood an the noodle basket was edible.
When I dine here, which is a few times a year, I always dine in because I live far enough away that take-out would get cold by the time I get home. The food is good quality, and seemingly very fresh. I had a dish marked "spicy," and it was was moderately spicy; I could have used more, or hot sauce on the table to add. What I most objected to was the background music, which was the same song played over and over. It was "It Is Well (With My Soul)," played by piano and cello. Pretty at first, but eventually very irritating and incongruous.
Stopped here for dinner and it was so good. We'll be back again and again. Best Chinese in the Northwoods.
I went here recently for nostalgic purposes. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants as a kid. The decor looked exactly the same and it brought up some nice memories. I have to admit the food was just okay (not bad, just not as good as I remembered), but the prices were unbeatable. We had three adults and two children in our party. After ordering two lunch specials, rice, a few orders of crab rangoon, and soup, our total was just over $20. To me, it was totally worth it. We all went home full and had extra food to spare.
I would come here again. Food was great and service was fast. The sesame chicken was very good.
